Very strong magnet. Comes with a square or circle magnet sticker that you place inside the battery cover of your phone. I guess if your phone does not have a removable cover then you just attach the sticker to the back of your phone and the problem is solved because the phone still attaches to the mount. Otherwise, you do not have to use the adhesive since you will be closing the battery cover and the magnet will stay in place anyway. Also you may place the magnet between your phone and case so that is another way to prevent using the adhesive if you have a phone that does not have a removable battery cover or if you do have a phone with a removable battery cover but just prefer not to put the magnet in your phone. This product works well for any type of air vent and for any height. The mechanism used to move the mount around for the perfect hands-free experience is a ball joint so it is very versatile.
